Six decades of American realism
Don Williams was born in Baton Rouge in 1941. After graduate study at Tulane University and teaching at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, he moved to San Francisco in 1969 and entered the city's gallery and museum community. He is based in Sonoma.
His work has been shown in 28 documented solo exhibitions, with museum exhibition history including the M. H. de Young Museum and the San José Museum of Art. He is a Pastel Journal Best of Show recipient and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grantee.
